The First Van That Carries Your Stuff Across the Web [video]

When is an ad for a big van more than an ad for a big van? When you can actually physically use the van in the ad for something!

Check out this clever online advertising campaign to promote the Opel Movano Van range. It transformed banner adverts from a distraction into a utility by allowing people to upload large files directly to the virtual van (up to 2GB) and send them to a friend or colleague…echoing the real life use of the van and giving users a reason to engage with the advert.

(Watch for the annoying typo!!)

Take This Lollipop – Personalised Facebook Experience

If you haven’t already heard of Take This Lollipop then you should log on as it’s one of the more creative Facebook ‘experiences’ I’ve seen in a while. It centers around the idea that people share too much on Facebook and should get you in the Halloween mood! It’ll certainly make you think twice about what you share online!

Take this Lollipop Facebook Experience

I won’t say too much about it as it would just spoil the surprise but if you don’t have time to play around with it then you can read more about it on Forbes.

Ragan’s PR Daily recently published a great list “12 outrageous PR stunts—and the lessons learned” and it’s well worth a read.

One of the quirkiest from the list involved a rebranding stunt -- When GotVMail changed its name to Grasshopper, they sent 25,000 chocolate-covered grasshoppers by FedEx to the most influential people in America!
